Chapter 4 - The Boardroom Coup

Cameron tapped the screen, and the video immediately began to play.
It showed Elena sitting in a dark room, her face bruised and her expression desperate.
She looked directly into the camera and stated that if he was watching this, she was likely already dead.
Elena explained that she was a corporate whistleblower who had uncovered a massive conspiracy within Cameron’s executive board.
His own partners had engineered the Tokyo deal as a distraction to get him out of the country.
They were planning to sell his experimental medical patents to the black market.
She had stolen the drive to protect the data and was trying to reach him before his flight departed.
The video ended abruptly, leaving Cameron in a state of absolute shock.
His billion-dollar empire was being dismantled from the inside by the people he trusted most.
A sudden, aggressive knock on the consultation room door shattered the silence.
Cameron instinctively stepped in front of Hope, shielding her small body behind his tall frame.
His lead security guard called out from the hallway, confirming that the floor was secure.
Cameron opened the door slightly, his mind racing with paranoia and suspicion.
The guard informed him that the board of directors had just called an emergency press conference.
Cameron turned on the small television in the room to a local news channel.
His Chief Operating Officer, Marcus, was standing at a podium looking incredibly solemn.
Marcus announced that Cameron West had suffered a complete mental breakdown and was being removed as CEO.

The camera zoomed in as Marcus held up a falsified police report.
Marcus told the press that Cameron was the primary suspect in the poisoning of a woman at the airport.
