Chapter 2 - The Hidden Truth

Two armed police officers kicked open the unlocked front door and rushed into the grand foyer.
They immediately drew their weapons and ordered everyone to put their hands in the air.
Grant quickly put on a brilliant performance, holding his hands up and pretending to be a terrified victim.
He pointed directly at me and falsely claimed that I had a loaded handgun hidden inside my designer purse.
One of the officers cautiously approached me and demanded that I step away from the dining table.
I completely complied, keeping my hands perfectly visible and my breathing steady.
I calmly informed the officers that I did not own a weapon and that my husband was entirely fabricating the story.
Grant loudly interrupted, begging the officers to search my bag before I hurt someone in my alleged manic state.
The officer grabbed my purse, emptied it onto the limestone floor, and found absolutely nothing but lipstick and keys.
David stepped forward and calmly introduced himself to the confused officers.
He explained that Grant was attempting to swat me to cover up a massive corporate embezzlement scheme.
Grant laughed nervously, telling the police that David was just a jealous, delusional man trying to ruin his marriage.
I smiled, walked slowly toward the walnut bookshelf, and reached behind a stack of architecture magazines.
I pulled out the tiny, brass-cased security camera I had installed three days ago.
I connected it to my phone and projected the live video recording directly onto the massive smart TV on the wall.
The officers watched in absolute silence as the high-definition footage played Grant’s cruel extortion attempt from just minutes ago.
They heard Grant openly admit to trying to force me out of the property under extreme duress.
The lead officer turned to Grant, pulled out a pair of heavy steel handcuffs, and told him he was under arrest for filing a false police report.

As the officer reached for Grant, Sabrina suddenly screamed and forcefully pushed her lover directly into the cop.
She sprinted desperately toward the open front door, clutching a silver flash drive she had stolen from Grant's coat pocket.
