Chapter 6 - THE FACEBOOK WAR

Narcissists cannot handle losing control of the narrative. By Monday, Chloe realized she couldn't bully me privately, so she went public.

She posted a massive, four-paragraph status on Facebook, tagging our entire extended family.

“I am heartbroken. My own sister abandoned me on my wedding day, stole a priceless family heirloom, and left me with thousands of dollars in vendor debt just to be spiteful. I have never felt so betrayed in my life. Please pray for Carter and me during this difficult time.”

The comments rolled in. Aunts and uncles were horrified, calling me selfish, cruel, and toxic. My phone started blowing up with angry texts from relatives.

I didn't panic. I just opened my email.

I took a screenshot of the “Mandatory Rules For Saturday” email she had sent me. I made sure her email address, the date, and all six insane demands were crystal clear.

I posted it in the comments of her status with a single sentence: "I simply followed your rules, Chloe. You told me not to come if I couldn't obey them all. And rule #5 was a dealbreaker."
