Chapter 3 - The Silver Flash

The wealthy guests screamed and scattered across the lawn.

Alexander did not even blink at the sight of the gun.

He casually stepped in front of Elena and Lily to shield them.

"You are making a terrible mistake," Alexander said softly.

The bride's father was sweating profusely as his hands shook.

"I will shoot you if you do not open those gates!" he screamed.

Before he could pull the trigger, a silver flash cut through the air.

One of Alexander's bodyguards had thrown a tactical blade.

The heavy handle struck the father's wrist with brutal force.

The gun dropped to the grass with a dull thud.

Two guards instantly tackled the older man to the ground.

They pinned his arms behind his back as he cursed loudly.

The bride collapsed to her knees in her stained dress.

"Please, she ruined my wedding on purpose!" the bride cried out.

"She was jealous of my wealth and threw the wine!" she lied flawlessly.

Elena stepped forward, her eyes blazing with quiet anger.

"I did not spill anything," Elena said calmly.

Suddenly, little Lily pointed her tiny finger at the bride's mother.

"That lady bumped the table," the four-year-old said clearly.

The bride's mother gasped and covered her mouth in guilt.

Alexander gestured for his men to bring a laptop forward.

The security footage from the garden cameras played on the screen.

It clearly showed the bride's mother staggering backward while drunk.

She was the one who knocked the wine glass directly onto her daughter.

Alexander slammed the laptop shut with a terrifying sound.

"You blamed my wife to cover up your own drunken mistake," he growled.

Just then, loud police sirens wailed outside the iron gates.

Red and blue lights flashed against the stone walls of the estate.

The bride smiled maliciously, thinking she was finally saved.

"I called the police," the bride sneered confidently.

The massive iron gates slowly swung open to reveal the authorities.

The Chief of Police marched onto the lawn with ten armed officers.

The bride ran toward them, pointing an accusatory finger at Alexander.

"Arrest that man for holding us hostage!" she demanded loudly.

The Chief of Police completely ignored the screaming bride.

He walked straight past her and stopped directly in front of Alexander.

The Chief took off his hat and bowed his head respectfully.

"What are your orders, Sir?" the Chief of Police asked Alexander.
