Chapter 9 - The Subway Escape

Vivian tapped the deadly syringe gently against the cold steel bars of the holding cell.

"You truly fought a very brave battle, my sweet boy, but it officially ends right now," Vivian whispered maliciously.

She gestured for the corrupt Captain to securely open the heavy iron door of the cell.

Before the Captain could even insert the heavy brass key, a massive, deafening explosion rocked the entire building.

The structural foundation violently shook, knocking Vivian and the corrupt officers completely off their feet.

The precinct's emergency alarms began blaring loudly as thick, dark smoke aggressively filled the underground corridors.

Clara had intentionally crashed her stolen, gasoline-soaked vehicle directly into the precinct's main lobby.

The brilliant, chaotic diversion caused absolute panic among the heavily armed police force upstairs.

Adrian used the incredible confusion to aggressively reach through the bars and choke the fallen Captain.

He swiftly stole the heavy keys from the officer's belt and unlocked his own cell door in seconds.

Vivian screamed furiously and tried to stab Adrian with the toxic syringe, but he violently grabbed her wrist.

He twisted her arm painfully, forcing her to drop the deadly needle onto the concrete floor.

"Where exactly is my son being held right now?" Adrian roared, pressing her violently against the steel bars.

"He is securely locked in the Child Protective Services holding room on the third floor," Vivian gasped in pure pain.

Adrian left her completely trapped inside the cell and sprinted rapidly up the smoky stairwell.

He ruthlessly incapacitated three corrupt officers along the way using purely primal, aggressive combat skills.

He finally kicked the heavy wooden door of the holding room completely open.

Noah ran instantly into his father's arms, crying massive tears of absolute relief.

They escaped the burning precinct through a highly concealed maintenance tunnel that connected directly to the city's subway system.

They ran wildly down the dark, incredibly damp subway tracks, desperately seeking a crowded public platform to hide.

They finally reached the brightly lit central station, hoping to completely disappear into the massive sea of morning commuters.

Adrian bought a pair of tickets and tightly held his son's hand as they walked toward the waiting train.

The heavy metal doors of the subway car slowly slid open, revealing an absolutely terrifying sight.

Vivian was standing perfectly inside the empty train car, completely surrounded by dozens of heavily armed syndicate mercenaries.

They raised their deadly assault rifles in complete unison, aiming directly at Adrian and his helpless son.
