Chapter 7 - The Siege of the Gym

Dante fell to the floor, cursing loudly as blood soaked his white shirt.
"Get down!" Giulietta screamed, diving behind a row of heavy metal lockers.
The other fighters immediately scrambled for cover as automatic gunfire ripped through the gym's thin walls.
Silvio had clearly tracked the burner phone he used to call her.
The windows shattered continuously, showering the boxing ring with sharp glass.
"They have us completely surrounded!" one of the fighters yelled over the noise.
Giulietta knew they would all die if they stayed pinned down in this room.
She crawled over to Dante, who was holding his bleeding shoulder with a grimace.
"Where do you keep the real weapons, Dante?" she asked urgently.
Dante pointed with his good arm toward a locked trapdoor beneath the boxing ring.
"Under the canvas, there is a stash from the old days," he grunted.
Giulietta did not hesitate for a single second.
She rolled out from behind the lockers and sprinted toward the center of the room.
Bullets tore into the wooden floorboards right behind her heels.
She dove under the elevated boxing ring and found the heavy iron handle of the trapdoor.
She yanked it open and dropped down into a dark, hidden cellar.
The cellar was lined with wooden crates filled with military-grade assault rifles and explosives.
She loaded three heavy bags with weapons and pushed them up through the trapdoor to the waiting fighters.
The street soldiers armed themselves, their eyes filled with pure rage.
"We do not hide from traitors!" Giulietta shouted, grabbing a rifle for herself.
"We push forward and take the street!"
The fighters roared in agreement and kicked open the front doors of the gym.
They poured out into the street, laying down a massive wave of suppressing fire.
Silvio's hitmen were caught completely by surprise and began falling back.
Giulietta stepped out into the smoke-filled street, firing her weapon with deadly precision.
She saw the lead hitman trying to escape into a waiting car and shot out his tires.
She walked up to the terrified man and pressed the hot barrel of her rifle against his forehead.
"Where is Silvio right now?" she demanded.

The man swallowed hard and pointed toward the harbor.
"He is at the docks, making a deal with the Petrovs."
