Chapter 13 - The Prison Confrontation

The heavy, incredibly thick steel doors of the maximum-security federal penitentiary slammed violently shut behind me.
I walked aggressively down the brightly lit, sterile concrete hallway, completely ignoring the terrifying, suffocating atmosphere of the massive prison.
I stepped forcefully into the tiny, heavily reinforced visitor’s booth and sat aggressively in the cold steel chair.
A few moments later, Irene was violently shoved into the booth on the other side of the thick, bulletproof glass.
She was heavily restrained in bright orange prison scrubs, her hands securely bound in thick steel chains.
She looked entirely different without her expensive designer clothes and flawless makeup, but her cold, dead eyes were exactly the same.
Irene picked up the heavy black telephone receiver, an arrogant, highly disgusting smirk completely spreading across her face.
I completely ignored her pathetic, deeply manipulative attempt to intimidate me.
I aggressively slammed the photograph of Chloe directly against the thick bulletproof glass.
Irene’s arrogant facade completely cracked for a single, agonizing fraction of a second.
Her lifeless eyes widened slightly before she quickly regained her terrifying, emotionless composure.
I coldly informed her that I absolutely knew she had staged the fatal car crash and sold my innocent child to the highest bidder.
I demanded the exact name and location of the massive syndicate that was currently holding my daughter hostage.
Irene laughed a deeply cruel, absolutely sickening laugh that echoed violently through the heavy black phone.
She proudly confessed that she had sold Chloe to a highly exclusive, massively wealthy black-market adoption ring to pay off her own violent gambling debts.
She cruelly taunted me, completely declaring that the billionaire family who bought her had completely erased my memory from the child's mind.
I felt a massive, deeply violent urge to shatter the thick glass and completely wrap my hands around her throat.
Instead, I smiled a deeply cold, absolutely terrifying smile that completely unnerved her.
I quietly promised Irene that after I successfully rescued my daughter, I was going to use my massive wealth to ensure she never saw the outside of a solitary confinement cell for the rest of her miserable life.
As I stood up to leave, Irene aggressively slammed her chained hands against the glass in a sudden, desperate panic.

She frantically whispered a single, highly cryptic clue before the armed guards violently dragged her away.
"If you really want to die, go look for the Blackwood Estate."
