Terrence did not hesitate for a single second.
He shoved past the hospital security guards and burst into the trauma room.
The fake nurse was holding a new syringe, preparing to inject a milky substance into Delilah's IV line.
Terrence tackled the woman to the linoleum floor, knocking the syringe out of her gloved hand.
The glass shattered on the tiles, releasing a sharp, chemical odor into the air.
Medical monitors began beeping wildly as Delilah's heart rate plummeted.
Terrence pinned the struggling woman down and slapped his heavy metal cuffs onto her wrists.
Dr Sinclair screamed for the security guards to arrest the officer for assault.
Terrence drew his service weapon, pointing it directly at the ceiling to establish absolute control of the room.
He ordered the real doctors to stabilize the crashing child and save her life.
The guards backed away slowly, unsure of how to handle an armed, desperate cop.
Terrence searched the fake nurse's pockets and pulled out a standard hospital ID badge.
The name on the badge did not match the woman's face at all.
He also found a cheap, prepaid burner phone tucked inside her scrub top.
