Mark instinctively stepped between Dr. Patel and his helpless wife.
He demanded to know what she had done with his third child, his voice echoing in the small room.

Julian and Madison were simply hired actors paid to keep Mark distracted and isolated.

They had received a tip that a deranged, estranged husband was trying to kill his comatose wife.
When they found Emily dead from the injection, Mark would be holding the syringe.
Dr. Patel lunged forward with blinding speed, aiming the needle directly at Emily's IV line.
Mark tackled her to the hard linoleum floor, shattering the syringe into a dozen pieces.
