Chapter 8 - The Sniper's Mark

The dusty warehouse was suddenly surrounded by a dozen heavily armed mercenaries.

Alessia had used her father's secret emergency fund to hire the best private security team in the state.

Evelyn dropped the briefcase in pure shock, the fake documents spilling across the dirty floor.

Garrett’s hands shook so violently that he accidentally nicked Miriam’s neck with the knife.

"Drop the blade right now, or my snipers will turn your head into a canoe," Alessia commanded fiercely.

Garrett slowly lowered the weapon in defeat and kicked it far away across the concrete.

Alessia rushed forward and pulled her crying mother into a tight, protective embrace.

Miriam sobbed heavily into her daughter's shoulder, finally safe from the monsters who tortured her.

Alessia signaled her men to zip-tie Garrett and Evelyn tightly to the steel support beams.

"You can't do this to me, we are blood family," Evelyn cried out pathetically.

Alessia walked over calmly and slapped Evelyn incredibly hard across the face.

"My mother is standing right here, and you are nothing but a parasite to me," Alessia spat.

She pulled out her phone and started a live video broadcast directly to the company's board of directors.

"Tell them exactly how you forged the documents and poisoned my mother," she ordered Garrett.

Garrett remained stubbornly quiet, keeping his mouth firmly shut in defiance.

Alessia nodded to one of the giant mercenaries, who racked his shotgun very loudly.

Garrett immediately broke down crying and confessed to every single financial and violent crime on camera.

The wealthy board members watching the stream flooded the comments with absolute outrage.

Alessia had won, completely reclaiming her empire and saving her mother's life.
