Chapter 6 - The Bloodline

Alessia did not beg for her life or show a single ounce of fear.

She slammed her elbow backward into Miller's ribs and violently twisted the gun out of his grip.

The weapon clattered under the desk as Alessia pinned the older man against the wall.

"Tell me the truth right now, or I will destroy your entire life," she demanded fiercely.

Miller coughed uncontrollably, raising his hands in surrender as he looked at the angry heiress.

"Garrett is not Evelyn's real son," Miller confessed, breathing heavily through the pain.

He explained that Evelyn had been medically barren after giving birth to Alessia decades ago.

Evelyn had traded Alessia to Arthur for a massive cash payout to secretly fund her gambling addiction.

Miriam had raised Alessia as her own with absolute love and devotion, hiding the dark truth.

Years later, Evelyn adopted an orphan named Garrett to execute her long-term revenge and steal the wealth.

Garrett was just a hired criminal, trained since childhood to play the perfect husband.

Alessia felt a massive wave of relief knowing she was not genetically related to that monster.

But the relief was quickly replaced by a burning, unstoppable desire for vengeance.

She tied Miller securely to his own chair and took all the physical evidence with her.

She finally had the concrete proof needed to dismantle their entire fraudulent takeover.

Alessia walked out of the precinct and quickly dialed her most trusted private hacker.

"I need you to freeze all of Evelyn's offshore accounts in exactly one hour," she instructed coldly.

She walked back to the cheap motel to check on her recovering mother.

The wooden door to the motel room had been kicked wide open.

A single black rose was left resting on the completely empty bed.
