Chapter 10 - The Ultimate Betrayal
Leo didn't wait for Arthur to pull the trigger.
He threw a heavy glass lamp directly at the lawyer's face.
Arthur stumbled backward, firing a suppressed shot that missed Leo's ear by an inch.
Leo tackled the older man to the floor, wrestling the gun out of his grip.
With one brutal punch, Leo knocked the corrupt lawyer unconscious.
They tied Arthur to a chair and used his phone to find Julian’s exact location.
An hour later, Leo and the police stormed Julian’s luxury penthouse suite.
Julian tried to run, but a SWAT team tackled him to the marble floor.
They found Evelyn locked in the master bedroom, completely unharmed.
Leo hugged his grandmother tightly, tears of sheer relief streaming down his face.
The police led a screaming Julian away in handcuffs, charging him with kidnapping and fraud.
Evelyn sat on the plush sofa and signed a legal document, transferring the entire Vance Empire to Leo.
The nightmare was finally over.
Leo had his mother back, he saved his grandmother, and he was now a billionaire CEO.
He smiled and leaned down to hug his grandmother one more time.
Evelyn wrapped her frail arms around him and hugged him back tightly.
“You did perfectly, my disposable boy,” Evelyn whispered coldly into his ear.
Leo froze, his blood running cold as he pulled away to look at her face.
Evelyn stepped back just as ten heavily armed FBI agents burst into the room.
