Chapter 8 - The Falling Sky

Thick, choking dust blinded everyone in the luxurious penthouse almost immediately.

Simon perfectly used the chaotic distraction to grab a dropped weapon from a severely coughing guard.

He shot two dangerous men instantly and rolled safely behind a massive, heavy marble bar.

Abigail aggressively grabbed Tommy's hand and dragged him forcefully under a sturdy wooden dining table.

Heavy gunfire tore aggressively through the room, totally destroying expensive paintings and crystal chandeliers.

"Stay totally down and tightly close your eyes," Abigail ordered her absolutely terrified brother.

Ivan roared furiously in Russian, firing his heavy machine gun completely blindly into the thick smoke.

Simon expertly returned fire with deadly accuracy, slowly but surely thinning out the enemy guards.

Abigail quickly realized they were completely pinned down and incredibly heavily outgunned.

She luckily noticed a large red fire extinguisher securely mounted on the wall near Ivan.

She bravely picked up a broken piece of heavy glass and threw it hard across the room to create a loud distraction.

As Ivan turned foolishly toward the noise, Simon stood up bravely and shot the fire extinguisher.

It exploded violently in a massive, blinding cloud of toxic white foam, totally blinding the Russian boss.

Simon sprinted aggressively across the room and tackled Ivan violently through a thick glass coffee table.

They fought brutally hand-to-hand, viciously crushing shards of glass beneath their heavy bodies.

Abigail smartly pulled Tommy toward the private stairwell, completely desperate to get him out of the crossfire.

She pushed open the heavy metal door, but stopped completely dead in her tracks.

Leo was standing casually on the landing, his nose crooked and his face badly bruised.

He smiled wickedly and aimed his heavy gun directly at Tommy's small chest.

"End of the line, sweetheart," Leo mocked cruelly.

Before Leo could actually pull the trigger, a incredibly loud gunshot echoed from the stairwell below him.

Leo gasped loudly, looking down at the blooming red stain on his shirt before collapsing forward completely lifeless.

Standing firmly at the bottom of the stairs, tightly holding a smoking gun, was Abigail's incredibly cowardly father, Walter.
