Chapter 5 - The Deal
Simon quickly grabbed his heavy spare weapons from a hidden floor compartment.
"They actively tracked the bug before I smashed it," he yelled loudly over the deafening noise.
He tossed a fully loaded pistol to Abigail, who caught it clumsily but held it tightly.
"Safety off, point, and aggressively pull the trigger," he instructed her rapidly.
The heavy front doors burst open, and five heavily armed Russian mercenaries poured into the room.
Simon moved with extreme, lethal precision, taking down three men before they could even aim their rifles.
Abigail hid perfectly still behind a thick concrete pillar, her hands shaking violently.
A massive mercenary successfully flanked Simon, raising a tactical shotgun toward his unprotected back.
Without stopping to think, Abigail stepped out boldly and pulled her trigger twice.
The massive recoil knocked her backward, but the hot bullets hit the attacker squarely in the chest.
Simon brutally finished off the last man and turned to look at her in genuine, absolute shock.
"You really just saved my life," Simon said, breathing heavily into the smoky air.
Abigail dropped the incredibly warm gun, her entire body trembling violently with adrenaline.
"Now you officially owe me," she replied firmly, looking him dead in the eye.
Simon nodded slowly, a profound, newfound respect forming deeply in his cold heart.
They fled the heavily compromised warehouse and quietly stole a parked car from a nearby abandoned diner.
Simon drove them directly toward the dangerous underground territory completely controlled by the Russian mob.
"We need massive leverage to successfully trade for your siblings," Simon explained as he drove fast.
"What kind of leverage do we need?" she asked nervously.
"The brutal head of the Russian syndicate has a secret vault at his illegal casino," he said.
"If we steal his hidden blackmail files, we can forcefully trade them for the kids."
Simon parked the car in a dark alley and handed her a dazzling, fake diamond necklace.
"You have to go inside completely alone and seduce the corrupt floor manager," Simon ordered strictly.
Abigail looked fearfully at the massive, heavily guarded casino doors.
"What exactly happens if I get caught?" she asked quietly.

"Then we both die painfully," a remarkably cold voice said from the shadows.
Leo stepped out of the thick darkness, aiming a loaded gun directly at Simon's head.
