Chapter 8 - The Siege
The reinforced steel door of the bunker began to rattle violently under the force of heavy explosives.
Julian pushed himself off the couch, ignoring the blood seeping through his fresh bandages, and moved toward a hidden weapons cabinet.
He entered a quick code, revealing an absolute arsenal of high-powered rifles, tactical gear, and heavy ammunition.
"Take this, and do not hesitate to pull the trigger if someone comes through that door," Julian commanded, shoving a heavy pistol into Arthur's trembling hands.
He turned to Elena, his dark, dangerous eyes softening for a brief, incredibly intense moment.
"Stay behind the concrete pillar, and I promise I will not let a single bullet touch you tonight," he swore softly.
A deafening explosion ripped the heavy steel door entirely off its thick hinges, sending thick smoke billowing into the room.
Dozens of heavily armed men poured into the bunker, their weapons firing wildly into the luxurious living space.
Julian stepped out from cover like an absolute demon of war, firing his assault rifle with terrifying, lethal precision.
He dropped the first wave of attackers in mere seconds, moving with a fluid, deadly grace that completely contradicted his long coma.
Arthur fired blindly into the smoke, desperately trying to protect his daughter from the violent chaos.
Elena watched in sheer awe as Julian systematically destroyed the men who had come to kill them, risking his own life for hers.
The gunfire finally ceased, leaving a heavy, suffocating silence hanging over the ruined, smoke-filled room.
Julian stood over the final, groaning attacker, pressing the hot barrel of his rifle directly against the man's chest.
"Where is my treacherous brother right now?" Julian demanded in a voice that promised absolute agony.

The wounded man spat blood onto the floor and smiled a wicked, broken smile.
"Marcus is not here, Boss, he is currently at the hospital, burning the critical care wing entirely to the ground."
