Chapter 8 - The Sister's Revenge

The tall, elegant woman stepping into the light wore a pristine white designer suit that contrasted sharply with the dirty warehouse.

Stella gasped quietly, recognizing the woman’s striking facial features instantly.

It was Elena, Jonah’s younger sister, the woman who was supposedly in a deep, permanent medical coma.

Jonah did not look surprised at all; he looked at his sister with a profound, heartbreaking disappointment.

"You really went through a lot of trouble to fake a three-year coma, Elena," Jonah said calmly from his wheelchair.

Elena laughed, a cold, bitter sound that echoed harshly off the corrugated metal walls.

"It was the only way to completely escape your suffocating control, Jonah," she spat angrily.

She paced around his wheelchair like a predator circling a severely wounded animal.

"You built this massive criminal empire on blood and fear, and I wanted my rightful half of the power."

Jonah shook his head slowly, his dark eyes filled with absolute, unfiltered sorrow.

"I kept you away from the business to protect you from becoming a monster like me," Jonah whispered.

Elena violently backhanded him across the face, sending his head snapping sharply to the side.

Stella instinctively reached for the door handle to intervene, but Victor grabbed her wrist and pulled her back.

"Wait, we are entirely outnumbered," Victor hissed quietly.

Inside the warehouse, Elena pointed a heavy, silver pistol directly at her brother’s chest.

"I used Victor’s daughter to force him to attack you, and I used Frankie to open your gates," Elena confessed proudly.

"Now I have your leverage, and I am going to completely dismantle your empire piece by piece."

Jonah spat a tiny drop of blood onto the concrete floor and looked up at his treacherous sister.

"You made one massive, fatal miscalculation, Elena," Jonah stated with chilling confidence.

"You assumed that putting me in a wheelchair made me weak and completely helpless."

Jonah casually pressed a hidden sequence of buttons on the digital control panel of his armrest.

A massive, deafening explosion suddenly rocked the entire shipyard, shaking the warehouse violently.

The heavy steel shipping containers stacked outside the building erupted into towering pillars of bright orange flames.

The explosion severely shattered the warehouse windows, sending the heavily armed mercenaries diving for cover in pure panic.

Stella realized Jonah had intentionally driven into the trap just to lure his enemies into a rigged blast zone.
