Chapter 16 - The Dockyard Assault

The heavily armored vehicle tore through the deserted, rain-slicked city streets like a dark phantom.
Jonah handled the customized vehicle with incredible, aggressive precision, completely compensating for his paralyzed legs.
Stella sat in the passenger seat, meticulously checking the heavy magazines of her assault rifle.
They arrived at the massive, sprawling industrial dockyards just as a violent thunderstorm broke violently overhead.
"The meeting is taking place in Warehouse Seven," Jonah announced, steering the vehicle into a dark, narrow alleyway between shipping containers.
"I count at least twenty heavily armed cartel mercenaries securing the perimeter," Stella reported, peering through night-vision binoculars.
Jonah engaged the vehicle's heavy, reinforced steel ramming bumper.
"Hold on tightly," Jonah ordered, gripping the steering wheel firmly.
He slammed his foot onto the specialized hand-throttle, accelerating the massive vehicle to terrifying speeds.
They violently smashed through the heavy chain-link gates, completely obliterating the reinforced steel barrier.
The cartel mercenaries instantly opened fire, showering the armored vehicle with a deafening hail of automatic gunfire.
The heavy bullets sparked and ricocheted harmlessly off the thick, military-grade armor plating.
Jonah aggressively maneuvered the vehicle into the center of the chaotic courtyard.
He activated the remote-controlled heavy machine gun mounted on the roof via a joystick on the console.
The massive gun roared to life, laying down a devastating barrage of suppressing fire that sent the mercenaries diving desperately for cover.
"I am heading inside the warehouse!" Stella yelled over the deafening noise.
She kicked the armored door open and sprinted fiercely through the pouring rain, her assault rifle raised.
She burst through the heavy metal doors of Warehouse Seven, instantly plunging into the dark, echoing interior.
Several highly armed cartel enforcers were frantically attempting to secure massive crates of illegal weapons.
Stella moved with lethal, fluid precision, taking down three men in rapid succession before they could even raise their weapons.
She violently kicked open a small, glass-enclosed office in the center of the warehouse.
A sharply dressed, terrified man was desperately stuffing stacks of cash into a heavy duffel bag.
Stella aimed her rifle squarely at his chest, her finger resting heavily on the trigger.
"Silas, I presume," Stella said coldly, recognizing him from the cartel descriptions.

The man froze entirely, his hands raised slowly in the air.
"You have absolutely no idea what you have just done," Silas sneered arrogantly.
