Chapter 6 - The Runway Nightmare

The massive jet engines screamed with a deafening, terrifying power that shook the entire cabin.
The plane violently jerked forward, instantly throwing all of us roughly to the floor.
I desperately curled my entire body over Lily to protect her from the brutal impact.
Freezing air violently whipped through the open emergency window as the jet began speeding down the icy runway.
Detective Miller aggressively dragged a screaming Vanessa away from the shattered window to keep her from being sucked out.
My grandfather tightly gripped the heavy leather armrest of a chair to keep himself safely anchored.
Liam frantically pulled himself up using the edge of the dining table and fought against the extreme gravity.
He desperately shouted over the roaring engines that the plane would absolutely crash if it took off with an open door.
The corrupt pilots were completely panicking and trying to escape the incoming police blockade at the end of the runway.
Liam carefully crawled across the tilted floor toward the heavily reinforced cockpit door.
He aggressively swung his heavy metal wrench against the thick steel lock with all of his physical strength.
The heavy door did not even dent under the extreme force of his desperate strikes.
The plane was rapidly accelerating to takeoff speed, and the front wheels violently lifted off the freezing tarmac.
I closed my eyes tightly and prayed that my beautiful daughter would somehow survive this nightmare.
Suddenly, a massive, heavy armored police truck violently smashed directly into the plane's front landing gear.
The deafening sound of grinding metal echoed terribly through the chaotic cabin.
The jet violently slammed back down onto the runway and began skidding wildly out of control across the ice.
Sparks violently flew directly past the open window as the heavy metal wings scraped the frozen ground.
We were aggressively thrown around the cabin like ragdolls as the massive plane spun completely off the runway.
The aircraft finally violently crashed into a massive snowbank and instantly went totally dark.
I coughed heavily through the thick, terrifying smoke filling the cabin and frantically checked on Lily.
She was miraculously unharmed and crying loudly in the darkness.
Liam rushed over to us and tightly wrapped his strong arms around both of us in the dark.
Detective Miller violently kicked the jammed cockpit door open to arrest the injured pilots.
We all carefully climbed out of the wrecked plane into the freezing, beautiful dawn light.
My grandfather proudly told me that the entire horrific ordeal was finally, truly over.

Then, my grandfather's private phone suddenly rang loudly in the quiet, snowy morning air.
He answered it, and his expression instantly dropped into a mask of pure, absolute horror.
