Chapter 8 - The Return to Hell
Norah crashed the stolen pickup truck directly through the closed steel doors of the warehouse.
The massive impact sent metal shrapnel and wooden splinters flying everywhere.
The unexpected explosion of noise caused Arthur to flinch and miss his fatal shot.
His suppressed bullet grazed Nico's shoulder, sending the mafia boss stumbling to the floor.
A massive, chaotic shootout instantly erupted between the three different factions.
Nico rolled behind a steel shipping container and fired blindly into the darkness.
He looked up and saw the rusted truck completely totaled in the center of the room.
The driver's door kicked open, and Norah stumbled out into the crossfire.
Nico felt his entire world stop spinning the moment he saw her alive.
He ignored the flying bullets and sprinted across the warehouse floor toward her.
He screamed her name, tears of pure relief mixing with the blood on his face.
Arthur realized his grand coup was falling apart right in front of his eyes.
He aimed his weapon squarely at Nico's unprotected back.
Norah saw the glint of the gun barrel from across the room.
She did not hesitate or think about her own survival.
She lunged forward and threw her body directly in front of Nico.

Arthur pulled the trigger.
The bullet struck Norah directly in the center of her chest.
