Chapter 9 - The Fatal Transfer
Silas struggled violently under the heavy weight of the elite guards, his injured leg burning with blinding agony.
"Do not hurt him, Victor, I will give you whatever you want!" Silas yelled in absolute desperation.
Victor smirked in triumph, keeping the heavy gun pressed firmly against the crying child's head.
Mark, the quiet and unassuming bank teller, suddenly realized he was the only one left who could do anything.
He quietly picked up a heavy, solid gold bar that had fallen from the vault elevator above.
With a massive scream of pure adrenaline, Mark sprinted forward and hurled the heavy gold bar directly at Victor's face.
The gold brick smashed brutally into Victor's shoulder, causing the evil uncle to stumble backward and drop his weapon.
Silas used the momentary distraction to violently throw off the guards pinning him to the ground.
Despite his broken leg, Silas launched himself through the air and tackled Victor incredibly hard onto the concrete platform.
Leo quickly scrambled away, clutching the solid black metal card tightly against his chest.
Victor frantically punched Silas in the jaw, desperately trying to crawl toward a sleek black tablet resting inside the train.
"You are too late, Silas, I already cloned the magnetic signature of the card yesterday!" Victor laughed manically.
He grabbed the glowing tablet and aggressively slammed his bloody finger onto the final transfer button.
A loud electronic chime echoed through the quiet underground station.
"Transfer complete, I now own the entire global empire!" Victor screamed in absolute, unfiltered victory.
He turned around, fully expecting Silas and Mark to drop to their knees in total defeat.
Instead, Silas began laughing softly, wiping a stream of dark blood from his split lip.

"You really should have read the terms and conditions of your brother's will, Victor," Silas whispered dangerously.
The black tablet suddenly began flashing a violent, bright red error code.
