Chapter 8 - The Blood Betrayal

The man in the crisp white suit casually poured himself a glass of expensive champagne.
He looked exactly like Leo’s deceased father, only his eyes were completely cold and devoid of any human soul.
"Uncle Victor," Leo whispered, hiding his face quickly behind Silas's long leg.
Victor smiled wickedly, taking a slow sip of his expensive drink.
"Hello, little nephew, I see you found the emergency escape route I designed," Victor mocked gently.
Mark stepped off the elevator, entirely confused by the insane conspiracy unfolding before him.
"You killed your own brother for a bank account?" Mark asked, disgusted by the sheer evil of the man.
Victor laughed loudly, stepping out of the train car and casually revealing a heavy silver revolver hidden behind his back.
"I did not do it for the money, you idiot, I did it for absolute global power," Victor corrected him sharply.
Before Silas could even raise his weapon, four elite guards completely cloaked in active camouflage materialized from the shadows.
They forcefully tackled Silas to the concrete floor, knocking his silver handguns far out of his reach.
One of the invisible guards brutally kicked Silas in the knee, causing a loud, sickening crack to echo through the station.
Victor walked slowly toward the terrified little boy, towering over him with a vicious sneer.
"Give me the black card right now, Leo, and I promise I will make your death completely painless," Victor demanded softly.
Leo shook his head bravely, refusing to hand over his father's final legacy to a monster.
Victor lost his patience entirely and aggressively snatched the boy by his small, dirty shirt collar.

He pressed the cold barrel of the silver revolver directly against Leo's tiny temple.
"Give me the card right now, or I swear I will blow his brains out!" Victor screamed at Silas.
