Total chaos instantly erupted across the previously quiet cemetery grounds.
The wealthy guests scattered in every direction, screaming as the gruesome reality of the casket was revealed.
Daniel quickly recovered his composure and shouted that Noah was a crazed kidnapper who had planted the bodies.
Three massive security guards in black suits rushed forward, pulling heavy batons from their belts.
Noah did not hesitate for a single second.
He reached into the shattered ivory box and pulled Claire out with all of his strength.
She stumbled against his chest, her legs still incredibly weak from whatever drugs were in her system.
"We have to run right now," Noah whispered urgently as he supported her waist.
They sprinted through the intricate maze of ancient marble tombstones and weeping willow trees.
Daniel's furious voice echoed behind them, ordering the guards to shoot if necessary.
A loud gunshot rang out, shattering a stone angel statue mere inches from Claire's head.
Noah dragged her behind a massive mausoleum just as a sleek black getaway car screeched to a halt on the nearby street.
He threw the back door open and pushed Claire inside before diving in after her.
The driver slammed on the gas pedal, leaving the furious security team completely in the dust.
Claire leaned back against the leather seats and tried to catch her breath.
