Chapter 8 - The Ultimate Betrayal

Rocco woke up with a pounding headache, his hands bound to a heavy metal pipe.
He was sitting in the back of a moving armored transport van, the walls vibrating with every bump.
Leo was tied up across from him, still unconscious and breathing heavily from the fight.
Marcus was sitting in the corner, his bloody head wrapped in a makeshift bandage, looking terrified.
Luca sat at the front of the cabin, cleaning his sniper rifle with meticulous, terrifying calm.
"Why, Luca?" Rocco rasped, straining against the thick zip ties cutting into his wrists.
Luca didn't look up from his weapon as he spoke in a completely emotionless tone.
"Our father left the entire empire in a trust that only unlocks for the next generation's heir."
"He knew I was too violent, and he knew you were too soft, so he skipped us both."
Luca finally looked up, his eyes filled with a greedy, psychotic obsession.
"Noah is the key to ten billion dollars, Rocco, and I am going to claim it."
"You let Marcus destroy my home and threaten my family just to steal a bank account?"
"It's just business, brother, you should understand that better than anyone."
The van lurched to a sudden halt, throwing everyone forward in their seats.
The rear doors opened, revealing an abandoned private airstrip bathed in moonlight.
A private jet was idling on the runway, its turbines whining loudly in the cool air.
Victoria was being dragged out of another vehicle, fighting fiercely against two massive guards.
One of the guards was holding a terrified, crying Noah by the back of his shirt.
