Chapter 9 - The World Tech Summit

Two days later. The World Tech Summit in London.
Victor Thorne stood on the center stage of a massive auditorium, addressing ten thousand investors, tech journalists, and global leaders. He looked immaculate, showing no signs of the drug or the theft. He believed Sophia had perished in the Alps; his men had reported finding a crashed Ducati at the bottom of a ravine.
"Today, OmniCorp does not just predict the future," Victor boomed into the microphone, his charismatic smile captivating the audience. "We design it. I give you... Aegis."
The massive screens behind him were supposed to flash with the new OmniCorp logo.
Instead, the screens went pitch black.
A heavy, static hiss echoed through the state-of-the-art sound system.
Then, Sophia’s face appeared on the fifty-foot screens. She was not wearing a wedding dress or a terrified expression. She wore a sharp, black tailored suit, looking every bit the lethal monarch of her bloodline.
Victor’s smile vanished. The color drained from his face.
"My name is Sophia Savoy," the pre-recorded video echoed through the silent auditorium. "And the man standing before you is a murderer, a thief, and a fraud."
The screens split. On one side, Victor’s private ledgers scrolled rapidly, highlighting assassinations and bribes. On the other side, the raw code of the Aegis algorithm was displayed, clearly bearing the watermark and copyright of the Royal House of Savoy.
"Victor Thorne orchestrated the murder of my parents to steal this technology," Sophia’s voice commanded the room. "I have already forwarded the master decryption keys, the ledgers, and his biometric footprint to Interpol, the SEC, and every major news outlet in the world."
The auditorium erupted into absolute chaos. Investors were screaming. Journalists were live-streaming the screens.
Victor backed away from the podium, his eyes wide with wild, trapped panic. He looked toward the wings of the stage for his security team.
Instead, the heavy stage doors opened, and Gabriel walked out, flanked by a dozen heavily armed Interpol agents.

Gabriel looked at Victor, the silver scar on his cheek catching the stage lights. "Game over, Victor."
Victor lunged forward in a blind rage, but two Interpol agents slammed him onto the polished stage, clicking heavy steel handcuffs onto his wrists. The titan of the tech world was dragged away in front of a thousand flashing cameras, completely and utterly ruined.
