Chapter 6 - The Corrupt Captain

The ballroom erupted into absolute chaos at the sight of the corrupt police chief.
The captain standing next to Christopher on stage immediately drew his weapon.
He pointed his gun at Luke, screaming at him to step away from the computer.
The wealthy guests shrieked and scrambled toward the exits in blind panic.
My bodyguard stepped in front of me, ready to take a bullet if necessary.
Luke did not flinch, keeping his hands perfectly still over the keyboard.
He stared down the barrel of the gun and asked the captain if he wanted to see the next file.
The captain threatened to shoot my son for resisting a lawful order.
I screamed at the officer to lower his weapon before he ruined his own life.
Christopher grabbed Brenda by the arm and tried to sneak out through the kitchen doors.
Luke pressed the enter key with lightning speed.
A loud audio recording blasted through the massive speakers of the ballroom.
It was the sound of the police chief discussing a massive bribe with Christopher.
They were planning to frame me for financial fraud and lock me in a psychiatric ward.
The officers in the room hesitated, looking at their captain with deep suspicion.
The captain realized he was completely exposed and lowered his weapon in defeat.
He turned around and placed his own hands behind his back, surrendering to his deputies.

I walked over to the kitchen doors and blocked Christopher from escaping.
He looked at me with wild, desperate eyes and pulled a silver switchblade from his pocket.
