Chapter 7 - The Blind Man Shoots

Grant intentionally kept his eyes slightly unfocused to perfectly maintain the illusion of his blindness.
His heart shattered completely as he looked at the treacherous wife he had mourned for five years.
"You orchestrated the bombing that destroyed our family," Grant said, his voice laced with pure venom.
"I desperately needed your empire, but I certainly did not want you," Caroline sneered arrogantly.
She proudly explained how she paid Doctor Hale a fortune to keep him blind and compliant.
Daniel laughed loudly and pressed the cold barrel of his gun directly against Emma's head.
"Say a final goodbye to the boss, Emma," Daniel chuckled maliciously.
Grant did not waste another second playing the pathetic, helpless victim.
He stared directly into Caroline's eyes with terrifying, crystal-clear focus.
Caroline gasped in sheer horror as she realized his pupils were perfectly tracking her movements.
Grant raised his pistol with blinding, lightning-fast speed.
He shot Daniel directly between the eyes before the traitor could even register the movement.
Daniel's lifeless body tumbled backward over the railing and crashed heavily into the dark, freezing water.
Caroline screamed hysterically and pulled a small electronic detonator from her designer purse.
"I will blow this entire ship to pieces!" Caroline shrieked like a cornered animal.
Hannah suddenly climbed over the side railing and tackled Caroline violently to the wooden deck.

The electronic detonator slid dangerously across the wet, slippery planks.
Vernon Hale stepped out of the dark shadows, scooping up the device with a wicked, triumphant grin.
