Chapter 7 - The Fire Alarm

Lucas felt his entire world violently shatter as he saw his precious daughter in the hands of the mercenaries.

Mia cried out for him, completely terrified by the rough grip of the massive armed men.

"Drop the gun, little brother, or the girl dies right here," Victor commanded with absolute, pure cruelty.

Lucas knew perfectly well he had absolutely no other choice in this horrific situation.

He slowly lowered his weapon and tossed the heavy pistol completely across the cold concrete floor.

The mercenaries instantly rushed forward and violently tackled Lucas directly to the ground.

They brutally tied his hands tightly behind his back with incredibly thick, painful plastic zip ties.

Elena confidently walked over and slapped Lucas fiercely across his bloody face.

"You actually thought you could ruin my perfect payday," Elena hissed with pure venom.

They forcefully dragged Lucas and threw him directly next to his mother's metal chair.

Victor walked over to the massive steel door of the primary underground vault.

He pulled a block of highly dangerous plastic explosives from his heavy tactical bag.

He firmly attached the explosive charge directly to the main structural support beam of the room.

"I am going to destroy all the evidence, and unfortunately, you three are considered evidence," Victor smiled proudly.

He violently shoved Mia into the vault with her father and grandmother.

Victor set the digital timer perfectly for exactly ten terrifying minutes.

He and Elena casually walked out of the heavy vault, completely sealing the massive steel door behind them.

Lucas desperately struggled against his tight plastic bindings, entirely ignoring the agonizing pain in his wrists.

His mother leaned over and used her sharp teeth to successfully catch the edge of the thick plastic tie.

She pulled fiercely until the cheap plastic completely snapped in half.

Lucas rubbed his bleeding wrists and quickly rushed perfectly over to the heavy steel door.

He desperately pushed with all his might, but the door was entirely locked from the outside.
