Chapter 2 - The Stolen Bloodline

Panic exploded instantly as the wealthy guests realized they were completely trapped.
Women screamed and men desperately slammed their fists against the locked wooden doors.
Lucas stood perfectly still, shielding his trembling daughter behind his own body.
He stared at the barrel of the gun, refusing to show a single ounce of fear.
"You will never get a single penny of my money," Lucas declared with absolute certainty.
Elena just smiled and lowered her weapon slightly as heavy footsteps echoed from the back of the room.
Dozens of men in dark tactical suits marched into the grand hall holding automatic rifles.
The armed men quickly surrounded the terrified guests and forced them down onto the floor.
A tall man in a tailored tuxedo stepped out from the shadows of the choir loft.
He walked slowly down the aisle, clapping his hands together in a mocking rhythm.
Lucas felt his heart completely stop as he recognized the man's arrogant face.
It was Victor, his own estranged older brother who had supposedly died in a plane crash three years ago.
Victor stopped next to Elena and wrapped his arm affectionately around her waist.
He looked at Lucas with eyes full of pure, unadulterated hatred and jealousy.
"Hello, little brother," Victor sneered, pulling a legal document from his jacket pocket.
He explained that he had orchestrated this entire fake wedding to steal the family empire.
Elena was never in love with Lucas, she was Victor's loyal partner from the very beginning.
Victor tossed a heavy pen onto the floor directly at Lucas's feet.
"Sign the company over to me right now, and I will let these innocent people live," Victor demanded.
Lucas looked around the room at his terrified mother and his weeping friends.
He knew perfectly well that signing the paper would not actually save their lives.
Lucas slowly bent down to pick up the expensive pen from the marble floor.

Instead of grabbing the pen, his fingers wrapped tightly around the heavy base of a massive champagne tower.
With a sudden burst of adrenaline, he violently hurled the entire glass tower directly at the armed guards.
