Bruno rushed to the computer terminal and frantically typed command codes to stop the data wipe.
He was too late because the progress bar reached one hundred percent and the screens went completely black.
The assassin was actively moving through the estate and destroying all the vital evidence.
Bruno radioed his men in the foyer to double the guard around the innocent staff members.
Meanwhile at the private hospital in the city, Alejandro Moretti suddenly opened his dark eyes.
The harsh medical lights blinded him for a moment before his memories violently rushed back.
He remembered the bitter taste of the wine and the terrifying feeling of his throat closing completely shut.
He also remembered the brave little girl with the pink rabbit backpack who had saved his life.
The doctors rushed into the private room and begged him to remain in bed for observation.
Alejandro ruthlessly ripped the intravenous needle from his arm and stood up on shaky legs.
He knew that the little girl and her mother were in extreme danger inside his compromised house.
He forced his loyal driver to bring his heavily armored car to the front of the clinic.
They sped through the dark city streets like a bullet aimed straight for the Long Island estate.
Alejandro checked his loaded weapon and prepared himself for a brutal confrontation with the traitor.
The armored car finally approached the towering iron gates of the Moretti compound.
Alejandro noticed that the guardhouse was completely dark and the perimeter lights were shattered.
Before his driver could hit the brakes, a massive explosion ripped through the front entrance.
The solid iron gates blew entirely off their hinges and crashed violently onto the wet pavement.
