Chapter 9 - The Final Loophole

The police escorted the exhausted group to a highly secure, luxurious penthouse in the city center.
Paramedics carefully bandaged Sofia's shoulder, assuring everyone that she would make a full recovery.
Shiomara sat on a velvet couch, holding Elena's hand tightly and refusing to let go.
Despite surviving the terrible night, Shiomara felt a crushing weight of profound guilt.
"I am so sorry I lost your father's empire," Shiomara apologized, looking down at the floor.
Elias walked over and poured her a warm cup of expensive tea, smiling gently.
"You did not lose anything, Shiomara," Elias reassured her warmly.
He reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a pristine, completely blank transfer document.
Shiomara frowned in confusion, trying to understand what she was looking at.
"The paper you signed for Victor was printed on thermal-fading paper," Julian explained with a bright grin.
"By the time his corrupt lawyers try to file that document in the morning, the ink will have completely vanished."
Shiomara gasped, realizing the brilliant siblings had outsmarted the evil billionaire at his own game.
Elias booted up a secure laptop on the glass coffee table and inserted a small biometric scanner.
"However, the legal deadline to claim the trust is in exactly five minutes," Elias warned seriously.
"We need you to place your thumb on this scanner to permanently lock Victor out of the accounts forever."
Shiomara nodded bravely and pressed her right thumb firmly against the glowing green glass.
The computer screen processed the fingerprint rapidly, loading a massive progress bar.

Then, the screen suddenly flashed a harsh, violent red warning message.
"Identity mismatch detected, lethal security countermeasures activated," the computer announced loudly.
