Chapter 6 - The Trap Closes

Victor Sterling stepped out from the shadows, wearing a pristine white suit and a victorious smile.

Over twenty heavily armed mercenaries surrounded the small group, completely cutting off any chance of escape.

"How touching, a family reunion right before the end," Victor sneered, slowly clapping his hands.

Julian raised his rifle, but Victor casually pressed a remote detonator in his palm.

"I wired this entire warehouse with enough explosives to turn you all into dust," Victor threatened calmly.

"Put the guns down, or the girl dies right now."

Elias and Julian exchanged a bitter look before slowly placing their weapons onto the concrete floor.

Victor walked forward and aggressively snatched the thick envelope from Shiomara's pocket.

He pulled a gold pen from his jacket and forced it into her trembling hand.

"Sign the transfer document, Shiomara, and I will let your daughter walk out of here alive," Victor lied smoothly.

Shiomara looked at Elena's terrified face and knew she had absolutely no other choice.

She quickly signed her name on the dotted line, officially signing away billions of dollars.

Victor inspected the signature, laughing cruelly as he tucked the paper into his expensive suit.

"Thank you for your cooperation," Victor smiled.

"Now, kill them all," he ordered his mercenaries.

Just as the armed men cocked their weapons, the entire warehouse was plunged into absolute pitch-black darkness.

Elias had secretly hacked the local power grid before they ever entered the building.

A massive explosion suddenly rocked the far wall, throwing Shiomara violently to the cold concrete floor.
