Chapter 4 - The Forgotten Daughter

The blood completely drained from Shiomara's tired face.

Twenty years ago, she had given her baby girl, Elena, up for a closed adoption to save her from extreme poverty.

She had never even told her closest friends that she had a child.

"How do you know about Elena?" Shiomara screamed at the phone, tears spilling down her cheeks.

Victor let out a dry, chilling laugh that made the underground room feel even colder.

"I have unlimited resources, and I know every secret you have ever tried to bury," Victor mocked her.

"Bring the transfer documents to the old shipyard by midnight, or your precious daughter will die slowly."

The phone line went dead, leaving behind a heavy, unbearable silence.

Shiomara stood up immediately, grabbing the thick envelope from the floor.

"I do not care about this money, I am giving it to him," she declared with fierce maternal determination.

Elias gently blocked the heavy metal door, shaking his head.

"Victor will kill both of you the second you hand over that paper," Elias warned her.

Julian suddenly kicked the door open, having tracked his siblings' location using a hidden GPS beacon.

He listened to the situation and pulled a heavy tactical briefcase from his shoulder.

"We are not letting the woman who saved our lives lose her only child," Julian said firmly.

He clicked the briefcase open, revealing a highly advanced arsenal of weapons and explosives.

"We are going to burn Victor's empire to the ground tonight," Julian promised.

Shiomara realized the children she had fed rice to were now highly trained, lethal operators.

She reached into the briefcase and pulled out a sleek black handgun.
