Chapter 7 - The Confession

Marcus Vance took the oath with a bored expression, completely unbothered by the tension in the room.

David approached the podium and asked Marcus to identify the man who had paid him to create a fake deed.

Marcus slowly raised his hand and pointed a heavily tattooed finger directly at Brent.

"He paid me ten grand in cash to mock up that property transfer," Marcus said loudly.

Brent's lawyer jumped up, shouting an objection, his face dripping with nervous sweat.

The judge slammed his gavel down, demanding silence in his courtroom.

David then submitted the encrypted video of the transaction into official evidence.

He also submitted bank records subpoenaed from Brent's offshore accounts.

"Your Honor, these records show exactly why the plaintiff is trying to steal my client's home," David stated.

He passed the documents to the bailiff, who handed them to the judge.

"Brent is entirely bankrupt and currently owes over three million dollars to a dangerous offshore gambling syndicate."
