Chapter 10 - The House Of Cards

Grandpa Arthur stared at Margaret with eyes as cold and hard as solid steel.
I had secretly emailed Arthur the video of the birthday party and the clinic evidence on our drive up the mountain.
He had flown out immediately on his private jet to intercept Margaret before she could destroy his family completely.
Arthur slammed his heavy cane violently against the wooden floorboards, demanding absolute silence.
He looked at the DNA paperwork in my hand and ordered Margaret to explain her massive betrayal.
Margaret completely broke down, dropping to her knees and sobbing hysterically as her decades of lies collapsed.
Arthur officially announced that he was entirely disinheriting Margaret and Mark from the billion-dollar family trust.
He ordered his private security team to escort Margaret away and hand her directly over to the state police for kidnapping.
Margaret was dragged out of the cabin in heavy steel handcuffs, screaming frantically about how unfair her life was.
Daniel completely cleared his name of all the fake financial charges using the massive resources of Arthur's legal team.
Lily was finally safe in my arms, completely surrounded by the unconditional love and massive protection she deserved.
Our beautiful family was completely restored, stronger than ever, and newly appointed as the sole heirs to the Whitmore empire.
Later that evening, I tucked a smiling, peaceful Lily safely into her warm bed at our home.
I walked happily downstairs and noticed a plain black envelope slipped quietly under my front door.

I opened it to find a clear photograph of my husband Daniel passionately kissing Jessica, dated just three weeks ago.
A handwritten note on the back simply read: "Margaret was telling the truth about a cheater in the family, but she accused the wrong person."
