Chapter 9 - The Broadcast
The warehouse erupted into total chaos as Bradley pinned his mother to the ground.
The distracted guard accidentally dropped his knife, which slid perfectly across the floor to Eli.
Eli grabbed the blade and quickly sliced through the zip ties binding his and Jordan's wrists.
They pulled Bradley off the screaming woman and sprinted toward the loading dock doors.
The guards recovered and chased them, firing warning shots into the metal roof of the building.
The three boys scrambled over a chain-link fence and ran blindly into the surrounding woods.
They collapsed near a small stream, gasping for air and checking themselves for injuries.
Jordan asked Bradley who he had texted during the chaotic fight in the warehouse.
Bradley smiled proudly and explained that he had sent the two-factor authentication code directly to Eli's email.
Eli quickly pulled out a cheap burner phone he had bought at a gas station.
He logged into the cloud server and successfully downloaded the high-definition scans of the bribery documents.
He also found a backup copy of the original classroom video hidden in Bradley's secret folder.
They had everything they needed to completely destroy Mrs. Whitmore's empire.
They realized the annual school board charity gala was happening right at that moment in the school gymnasium.
Mrs. Whitmore was scheduled to give the keynote speech in front of the town's most powerful politicians and journalists.
The boys sneaked back into the high school and climbed into the darkened AV booth overlooking the gym.
They could see Mrs. Whitmore standing proudly at the podium, smiling for the flashing cameras.
Eli connected his phone directly to the master projector system.
He hit the play button just as Mrs. Whitmore began speaking about the importance of academic integrity.
The massive screen behind her suddenly illuminated with the video of her forcing Jordan to his knees.

The audio of her cruel, blackmailing threats echoed through the massive speakers for everyone to hear.
The entire gymnasium erupted in gasps of absolute horror and outrage.
