Chapter 1 - The Shattered Cup
His little daughter Lily ran into the grand dining room screaming at the top of her lungs.
"Daddy, do not drink it!"
But Nora aggressively grabbed her from behind and desperately tried to drag her away.
The hot porcelain cup kept moving steadily closer to Ethan's lips.
So Lily fought back with absolutely every ounce of strength in her tiny body.
She viciously bit Nora's manicured hand, broke completely free, and threw herself violently against the dining table.
The heavy cup flew rapidly from Ethan's hand.
It shattered violently across the pristine, imported marble floor.
Then the dark, steaming tea immediately began to hiss.
A thick, unnatural white foam spread aggressively over the expensive marble tiles.
A pale green, highly toxic vapor rose quickly from the bubbling liquid.
Everyone in the massive dining room froze in absolute sheer terror.
Lily stood fiercely between her father and the poisoned tea, visibly shaking and crying uncontrollably.
"She purposely made it just for you," the brave little girl sobbed loudly.
Nora's perfect, loving smile completely disappeared from her stunning face.
Ethan finally understood the horrific reality standing directly in front of him.
His beautiful new wife had actively tried to murder him in cold blood.
And his innocent little girl had just miraculously saved his life.
"You really should have just taken a sip, Ethan," Nora whispered with a deeply sinister tone.

When she pulled her hand back out, she was holding a loaded, suppressed tactical handgun.
