Abigail could barely process the staggering revelation.
The vulnerable, terrified woman she had risked her life to save was actually a ruthless federal agent.
Naomi clamped heavy steel handcuffs tightly around Abigail's wrists.
She explained that the FBI had been watching Spencer's illegal loan shark operation for years.
They believed Abigail was secretly laundering his dirty money through her personal bank accounts.
Abigail desperately pleaded her innocence.
She swore she only paid his debts because she thought he was a failing businessman.
Naomi ignored her cries and pushed her toward the exit door.
The sound of approaching police sirens wailed in the distance.
Spencer and Cole suddenly burst into the maintenance corridor with their weapons drawn.
Spencer looked confused when he saw Naomi holding his mother at gunpoint.
Naomi identified herself as an agent and ordered them to drop their weapons.
Cole realized the entire operation was blown and instantly turned his gun on Spencer.
He demanded Spencer pay him the money right now or he would kill him.
Spencer frantically backed away, using his own mother as a human shield.
He grabbed Abigail by the throat and pressed a knife to her ribs.
He screamed that he would kill her if the FBI agent did not back down.
Naomi did not lower her weapon at all.
She coldly stated that Abigail was a disposable asset and she was authorized to use lethal force.
Abigail realized nobody in this room cared if she lived or died.
She was completely on her own.
She remembered the heavy syringe she had taken from the pharmacy earlier.
She reached carefully into her pocket with her bound hands and pulled off the plastic cap.
