Chapter 6 - The Aerial Assault

The massive corporate helicopter hovered aggressively just fifty feet above the rushing river.

A heavily armed mercenary leaned out of the open side door with a mounted machine gun aimed directly at their boat.

"They control the entire city's private airspace," Christopher shouted, frantically spinning the steering wheel.

He aggressively swerved the speeding boat into a narrow, highly dangerous industrial shipping canal to avoid the incoming gunfire.

Heavy bullets violently shredded the water right where their boat had been just a fraction of a second before.

Emily desperately grabbed a heavy metal fire extinguisher from the cabin wall.

"Drive us directly under that low concrete bridge ahead!" she commanded with absolute, fierce authority.

Christopher trusted her completely and pushed the ruined engine far beyond its maximum safety limits.

The boat slid incredibly fast underneath the dark, shadowed safety of the old concrete overpass.

The massive helicopter was forced to aggressively pull up to avoid crashing into the heavy steel bridge supports.

As they emerged on the other side, Emily violently hurled the heavy fire extinguisher straight up into the air.

The heavy metal cylinder flew perfectly into the spinning tail rotor of the ascending helicopter.

A deafening, terrifying crunch of tearing metal echoed across the entire industrial district.

The helicopter violently spun out of control, completely losing altitude before crashing heavily into an abandoned warehouse.

Christopher stared at Emily in absolute, stunned amazement.

"You just took down a military-grade aircraft with a fire extinguisher," he said, breathing heavily.

Emily offered a weak, incredibly exhausted smile as she brushed the wet hair from her face.

"I grew up in a very tough neighborhood," she replied softly.

They safely docked the smoking, ruined speedboat at a highly secluded, abandoned commercial pier.

They desperately needed to find completely untraceable transportation to reach the corporate headquarters in time.

As they climbed the rusty ladder to the street level, a luxurious black limousine slowly rolled to a stop in front of them.

The tinted window rolled down to reveal Christopher's most trusted mentor and oldest family friend, Arthur.

"Get in quickly, my boy, I heard everything on the police scanner," the older man urged warmly.
