Chapter 2 - The Bloody Escape

Rocco immediately scooped Noah into his strong arms and dove behind the massive marble staircase.
A hail of heavy bullets shattered the expensive crystal chandelier hanging above them.
Bianca screamed hysterically and tried to run toward the open front door.
One of the masked mercenaries grabbed her aggressively by her blonde hair and dragged her outside.
Rocco pulled a sleek silver handgun from his tailored tuxedo jacket.
He returned fire with deadly precision, dropping the closest attacker instantly.
Elena, Noah's quiet and unassuming nanny, suddenly appeared from the kitchen corridor.
She did not look terrified or panicked like a normal domestic employee.
Elena calmly threw a heavy smoke grenade directly into the center of the foyer.
"Follow me right now if you want your son to live," Elena commanded with absolute authority.
Rocco did not hesitate for a single second as he followed her through the thick gray smoke.
They rushed down a hidden servant stairwell that led directly to the underground parking garage.
Elena expertly hot-wired a vintage sports car in less than ten seconds.
Rocco secured Noah in the backseat and jumped into the passenger side.
They sped aggressively out of the garage and smashed through the heavy security gates.
Rocco looked at the quiet nanny who had just saved their lives with military efficiency.
"Who exactly are you, Elena?" Rocco demanded, keeping his gun pointed firmly at her.
Elena kept her eyes completely focused on the dark, winding mountain road.
"I am the only person keeping you alive, but we have a massive problem," Elena replied grimly.

She pointed a shaking finger at the dashboard display.
A blinking red light indicated that a highly advanced explosive device was attached under the car.
