Chapter 10 - A NEW HORIZON

Three years later.
The sun beat down on a massive, bustling logistics yard in suburban Ohio. The sign above the main gate read: VANCE & ROSSI FREIGHT CO.
Arthur stood on the loading dock, a clipboard in hand, looking out over a fleet of twenty brand-new, gleaming eighteen-wheelers. He wasn't a lonely driver haunting the midnight highways anymore. He was the owner of one of the fastest-growing independent trucking companies in the Midwest.
The door to the main office opened, and Elena stepped out. She looked radiant, confident, and powerful. She managed the finances and the contracts, utilizing her brilliant business mind to build a legitimate, thriving empire.
Running out beside her was three-year-old Leo, wearing miniature denim overalls and a tiny trucker hat.
"Papa Artie!" Leo shrieked, sprinting across the dock and throwing himself at Arthur’s legs.
Arthur dropped the clipboard and scooped the boy up, tossing him into the air as Leo giggled uncontrollably. Arthur looked over at Elena, who was smiling at them with an expression of pure, unadulterated love.

Julian Sterling was serving twenty-five years in federal prison. The crumbling mobile home was a distant nightmare.
Arthur held the boy close to his chest, the sound of the diesel engines rumbling like a heartbeat around them. He had lost a family once, and he thought his life was over. But as he kissed Leo’s forehead and reached out to take Elena’s hand, Arthur knew the truth: the road always leads you exactly where you are meant to be.
