Chapter 6 - The Confession

Dominic stared at the tablet screen in absolute shock, unable to process what he was seeing.

Valeria had not just betrayed Lucian; she had completely destroyed him.

"Lucian was a blunt instrument, and I prefer to work with surgical precision," Valeria said, closing the tablet.

She instructed the driver to take them to the central broadcast station downtown.

She planned to force Dominic to read a fake confession on live television, taking the fall for every crime the family had committed.

Dominic sat quietly in the back of the SUV, his mind racing to find a way to outsmart her.

He knew that as soon as he read the confession, Valeria would have him killed in his prison cell.

He subtly twisted his wrists against the heavy iron handcuffs, testing their strength.

The cuffs were incredibly tight, digging painfully into his skin with every movement.

The SUV finally pulled into the underground parking garage of the massive broadcast tower.

Valeria’s armed guards dragged Dominic out of the vehicle and marched him toward the service elevator.

They rode the elevator to the top floor, stepping into a brightly lit television studio filled with professional cameras.

A nervous cameraman was standing by, ready to broadcast the feed to every news network in the country.

Valeria handed Dominic a printed sheet of paper containing the fabricated confession.

"Read this exactly as it is written, or I will call my pilots and tell them to drop your mother out of that helicopter," Valeria threatened.

Dominic took a deep breath and sat down in the leather chair in front of the main camera.

The red recording light blinked on, signaling that they were broadcasting live to millions of viewers.

Dominic looked directly into the camera lens, his expression hardening into pure determination.

"My name is Dominic Sterling, and I am here to expose the truth about my family's criminal empire," he started.

Valeria smiled triumphantly off-camera, believing her flawless plan was coming together perfectly.

But Dominic did not read the script she had handed him.

Instead, he began reciting the exact bank account numbers, passwords, and offshore routing codes he had memorized from the black ledger.

Valeria screamed in pure rage and pulled a silver handgun from her designer purse.
