Chapter 9 - The Highway Pursuit

The massive, heavily armored tactical SUV tore aggressively down the dark, rain-slicked highway, pushing well past one hundred miles per hour.
Marcus was driving with terrifying, absolute precision, while Ethan sat in the passenger seat, furiously loading heavy, armor-piercing magazines.
I sat in the back with Noah, holding him tightly as the heavy vehicle swerved violently to navigate the treacherous, winding roads.
"Margaret's convoy is exactly three miles ahead, heading straight for the private airstrip," Marcus yelled over the roaring engine.
Ethan picked up a heavy, specialized anti-materiel sniper rifle from the weapons crate between the seats.
"Get me within one thousand yards, and I will completely disable the lead vehicle," Ethan commanded coldly.
The highway ahead finally straightened out, revealing the glowing red taillights of three massive, heavily armored transport trucks.
Marcus pushed the SUV's engine to its absolute, screaming limit, rapidly closing the massive distance between us and the fleeing convoy.
Ethan rolled down his window, ignoring the freezing, biting wind, and aimed the heavy rifle precisely at the engine block of the rear truck.
He fired a single, deafening shot, the heavy, armor-piercing round tearing violently through the thick metal of the engine.
The truck instantly erupted in a massive cloud of thick black smoke, completely losing power and swerving wildly across all three lanes of traffic.
The massive vehicle crashed heavily into the concrete median, violently flipping over and completely blocking the highway for any pursuing police.
We aggressively bypassed the burning wreckage, focusing entirely on the two remaining vehicles racing desperately toward the airstrip.
Margaret was clearly in the lead SUV, desperately trying to reach her private, luxury escape jet before we could stop her.
"She is entirely out of time," Ethan growled, aiming his heavy rifle at the tires of the second, heavily armored vehicle.
Three rapid shots completely shredded the rear tires, sending the second SUV spinning violently into the muddy, deep ditch alongside the road.
We were now directly behind Margaret's vehicle, rapidly approaching the heavily illuminated, secure gates of the private aviation field.
Margaret's driver completely ignored the heavy security gates, smashing the armored vehicle aggressively through the thick metal barriers.
We followed directly through the shattered gates, tearing wildly onto the massive, rain-soaked tarmac.
A sleek, massive private jet was already actively moving down the runway, its powerful engines whining incredibly loud.
Margaret's SUV screeched violently to a halt near the mobile boarding stairs, and she scrambled desperately out of the vehicle, clutching a heavy metal briefcase.
"Ram them right now!" Ethan roared, bracing himself completely for the heavy impact.
Marcus slammed our massive SUV directly into Margaret's vehicle, sending her heavily armed guards flying violently across the wet concrete.
Ethan kicked his door entirely open, leaping out with his heavy assault rifle raised, aiming directly at his fleeing, terrified sister.

"It is completely over, Margaret!" Ethan bellowed, his voice echoing violently over the deafening roar of the jet engines.
Margaret froze entirely on the boarding stairs, dropping the heavy briefcase as she stared fiercely down the barrel of her brother's weapon.
