Chapter 7 - The Blood Stained Memories

The cold steel of the scalpel pressed dangerously against Samantha's pulse.

She could barely breathe as she stared into the furious eyes of the real Alexander Hayes.

Olivia rushed forward and desperately grabbed Alexander's trembling arm.

She shouted that Samantha was not the assassin who killed their father.

Alexander's grip tightened as he accused Olivia of lying to protect a monster.

He clearly remembered the face of the woman who pulled the trigger that night in the study.

Olivia yelled that Samantha was just a clone created by Marcus to frame her original genetic host.

Alexander hesitated as the anger in his eyes slowly shifted into deep confusion.

He lowered the scalpel slightly but did not release his grip on Samantha's shoulder.

He stared intently at her face searching for any sign of deception.

Samantha stood perfectly still while tears of pure terror rolled down her cheeks.

She whispered that she did not even know who she was until a few hours ago.

Alexander finally stepped back and dropped the blade onto the metal floor with a clatter.

He covered his face with his hands as the weight of his five-year absence crushed him.

Olivia quickly explained the current situation and Marcus's plan to harvest Samantha for organs.

Alexander listened quietly while putting on a set of tactical clothing stored in the lab.

His demeanor shifted from a disoriented patient to a calculating predator.

He stated that they needed to break into the Hayes Corporation headquarters tonight.

He had to access the central server to shut down Marcus's access to the family funds.

Samantha asked how three people could possibly defeat a billionaire's private army.

Alexander walked over to a hidden weapons locker and pulled out three suppressed rifles.

He loaded a magazine with terrifying efficiency and tossed a gun to Olivia.

He looked at Samantha and said they were not going to fight the army at all.

They were going to walk right through the front door using his face as a VIP pass.

The plan was incredibly dangerous but it was their only chance to survive the night.

They left the shipping container and climbed into Olivia's silver sports car.

The drive to the city center was tense and suffocatingly silent.

They parked a block away from the towering glass fortress of the Hayes Corporation.

Alexander stepped out into the rain and pulled his hood down to reveal his face.

He confidently walked straight toward the heavily armed guards at the main entrance.

The guards instantly lowered their weapons when they recognized their boss.

Alexander ordered them to open the doors and clear the lobby immediately.

The guards quickly obeyed assuming he was Marcus returning from the penthouse.

They successfully made it into the private executive elevator without firing a single shot.

The doors closed and they began ascending to the top floor server room.

Samantha finally let out a breath of relief thinking the hardest part was over.

But as the elevator passed the fiftieth floor the power suddenly cut out entirely.

The emergency red lights flickered on revealing a small screen on the elevator panel.

Marcus's smiling face appeared on the screen looking directly at them.

He casually thanked Olivia for delivering his brother and the spare parts directly into his trap.
