Chapter 3 - The Blood Test

The silence inside the moving limousine was absolutely suffocating.

Samantha stared at the impossible date printed on the yellowed paper.

She asked Alexander how his mother could have given birth three years after her funeral.

Alexander clenched his jaw so hard that the muscles in his face twitched.

He explained that his mother never actually died in that fiery car crash.

Someone had faked her death to steal her shares in the Hayes empire.

And that same person had kidnapped her secret second child to use as leverage.

Samantha felt sick to her stomach as the pieces slowly connected in her mind.

She realized Victoria had kept her as a servant just to monitor her existence.

The limousine pulled through the towering iron gates of a massive private estate.

Alexander escorted her into a high-tech medical facility hidden beneath his mansion.

A doctor in a white coat was already waiting for them with a sterilized needle.

Alexander explained that they needed a DNA test to prove her identity to the board of directors.

Samantha nervously rolled up the sleeve of her damp white apron.

The doctor drew a small vial of her blood and placed it into a rapid testing machine.

Alexander paced across the sterile white room while making hushed phone calls.

He ordered his legal team to freeze every single bank account belonging to Victoria Collins.

Samantha sat on the medical bed while trying to process her new reality.

She was no longer the invisible maid washing dishes in the dark kitchen.

She was the heir to a billion-dollar throne.

The testing machine suddenly beeped loudly and flashed a green light.

The doctor pulled the printed results and handed them directly to Alexander.

Alexander scanned the document as a rare smile touched his cold lips.

He looked at Samantha and confirmed that she was a ninety-nine percent match.

He promised her that tomorrow they would destroy Victoria and take back everything she stole.

Samantha finally smiled as a tear of relief rolled down her tired face.

The doctor politely asked Alexander to sign the medical release form on the tablet.

As Alexander turned his back to sign the screen Samantha accidentally glanced at the printed paper on the desk.

Her eyes widened in pure horror as she read the final line of the genetic report.

The DNA matched perfectly with Alexander Hayes but it was not a sibling match.

The medical document stated with absolute certainty that Alexander was her biological father.
