Chapter 8 - The Sky Prison

Four heavily armed men rapidly descended from the helicopter on thick ropes, landing flawlessly onto the deck of the speedboat.

Before Maxwell could even attempt to fight back, a brutal strike from a rifle butt knocked him forcefully to his knees.

Sarah screamed as rough hands aggressively grabbed her arms, tightly securing her in a heavy leather extraction harness.

In a matter of terrifying seconds, both she and Maxwell were violently hoisted up into the deafening belly of the aircraft.

They were shoved roughly onto the cold metal floor of the cabin as the heavy side doors securely slid shut.

Sarah blinked rapidly to clear her vision, staring in absolute disbelief at the person sitting comfortably in the leather command chair.

Julian smiled smugly, holding up a pair of heavy wire cutters covered entirely in thick engine grease.

"I took the liberty of cutting your fuel line before we even sat down for dinner tonight," Julian boasted loudly over the engine noise.

He explained that he had secretly struck a lucrative deal with David’s syndicate to securely divide the Vanguard Estate between them.

Maxwell roared in sheer anger and tried to lunge at the traitor, but two massive guards violently forced him back down.

Julian casually walked over to Sarah and aggressively snatched the golden folder directly from her trembling hands.

He opened the shiny cover slowly, intending to gloat over his ultimate, undisputed victory against the true heiress.

However, his arrogant smile slowly faded completely away as he aggressively flipped through the heavy pages.

Julian pulled out the legal documents inside, his hands shaking with sudden, uncontrolled rage.

Every single page inside the shiny golden folder was completely blank.

Sarah sat up straight, a genuinely cold and triumphant smile finally breaking across her bruised face.

"You really think I would carry the actual, original documents to a dinner party with my worst enemies?" Sarah asked mockingly.

May you like

Julian screamed in pure frustration, violently throwing the blank pieces of paper entirely across the metal cabin.

He angrily pulled his black handgun from his waist and pointed it directly at the center of Maxwell’s forehead.
