Chapter 7 - The Explosive Escape

The toxic gas quickly began filling the enclosed marble lobby.

Hannah coughed violently and dropped to her knees as her lungs burned.

Dominic held his breath and pulled a block of military-grade C4 from his tactical vest.

He had taken the explosive from the dead Whitmore mercenaries back at the estate.

He rushed toward the bulletproof glass where the arrogant banker was safely watching them.

Dominic slapped the explosive putty directly onto the center of the reinforced window.

He pushed a small electronic detonator deep into the gray explosive block.

He sprinted back to Hannah and threw his own body forcefully over hers.

Dominic pressed the trigger and a deafening shockwave shattered the underground room.

The blast completely destroyed the bulletproof glass and threw the banker across his office.

The heavy pressure blew a massive hole through the bank's automated security seals.

Fresh air rapidly flooded back into the lobby and cleared the toxic halon gas.

Dominic pulled Hannah to her feet and dragged her through the shattered window frame.

The armed guards were completely disoriented and bleeding from their ears.

Dominic shot two of them before they could even raise their weapons.

He grabbed the terrified banker by the collar and slammed him onto the ruined desk.

He pressed his hot pistol barrel directly against the man's temple.

Dominic demanded that the banker manually authorize the Rossi wire transfer immediately.

The trembling man frantically typed his override codes into the glowing computer terminal.

The screen flashed bright green as two billion dollars successfully transferred to Dominic's secure offshore account.

Dominic thanked the banker politely and violently knocked him out with the butt of his gun.

He and Hannah ran toward an emergency maintenance stairwell at the back of the office.

They climbed ten flights of concrete stairs until their legs completely burned with exhaustion.

They burst out of a rusted metal door and collapsed into a dark, snowy alleyway.

Hannah checked her encrypted phone and confirmed the massive transfer was fully complete.

They finally had the endless resources required to wage a total war against the Whitmore syndicate.

Dominic pulled her into a tight, desperate hug as the cold snow fell around them.

He realized he trusted this woman more than anyone he had ever known in his life.

He promised her that they were going to kill every single person who had betrayed them tonight.

Dominic pulled out his phone and dialed the number of the most ruthless mercenary commander in the city.

He ordered an immediate, full-scale assault on the abandoned steel mill.

The commander asked how Dominic planned to pay for such a massive army.

Dominic smiled coldly and told him the payment had already cleared his account.
