Dominic leveled his pistol directly at his beautiful fiancée's head.
He demanded to know exactly what she had done with his mother.
Vanessa simply smiled and casually crossed her legs in her expensive champagne silk dress.
She dropped her smoking weapon onto the glass coffee table.
She told Dominic that he did not have the authority to threaten her anymore.
Vanessa reached into her designer clutch and pulled out a cheap burner phone.
She tossed the small plastic device onto the floor right at his feet.
She proudly announced that her father had quietly purchased every single one of Dominic's shipping debts.

Dominic kept his gun perfectly steady and his face completely emotionless.
He told her that paperwork did not make her bulletproof.
Vanessa laughed out loud at his cold threat.

Vanessa stood up and smoothed the wrinkles from her elegant skirt.

She called the girl by her real name, Doctor Hannah Rossi.
