Chapter 4 - The Bitter Truth

Three mercenaries in tactical gear rushed into the wine cellar with their rifles raised.
Marco pushed Evelyn behind a massive oak wine barrel and returned fire with his handgun.
The deafening exchange of bullets shattered hundreds of glass bottles, flooding the stone floor with expensive red wine.
Evelyn covered her ears, realizing that her normal, predictable life was completely gone.
Marco managed to take down two of the attackers, but his pistol clicked empty.
The third mercenary moved forward, aiming his rifle directly at Marco's head.
Evelyn looked at the silenced pistol she had taken from the fake doctor in her bedroom.
She closed her eyes, raised the weapon over the barrel, and pulled the trigger.
The mercenary dropped to the floor, splashing heavily into the pool of spilled wine.
Marco stared at her in shock, clearly not expecting a flight attendant to have the nerve to shoot a man.
"We have to get out of here before the rest of them find us," Evelyn said, her hands shaking violently.
They navigated through the maze of shattered bottles and found a heavy metal ventilation grate at the back of the cellar.
Marco kicked the grate loose, revealing a muddy drainage pipe that led out into the surrounding forest.
They crawled through the freezing mud for ten agonizing minutes before emerging into the cold, pouring rain.
Evelyn was soaked, freezing, and covered in blood that did not belong to her.
"Where is Antonio now?" Evelyn asked as they ran through the thick Irish woods.
Marco explained that Antonio was being held at a secret, highly secure private clinic in Limerick.
"If Sarah and Antonio's brother orchestrated this, they will finish the job at the clinic," Marco said.
Evelyn realized they were the only two people who knew the truth about the assassination plot.
A bright spotlight suddenly cut through the trees, illuminating the rain around them.

The distinct, rhythmic chopping sound of a military-grade helicopter echoed from above.
The spotlight locked directly onto Evelyn, and a voice over a loudspeaker ordered them to surrender.
