Chapter 4 - The Hunt for Proof

I recorded my father’s cowardly attempt to throw his own son to the wolves.
My blood boiled, but I maintained a cold, mechanical voice through the software.
I told my father that if the original physical documents were not produced, I would sink the yacht.
I hung up the phone and looked at my attorney, who was sitting across my living room.
We needed those original forged documents to prove Jake was completely innocent.
My private investigators had traced the documents to a hidden safe located inside the yacht’s master cabin.
Madison was throwing a massive, exclusive charity gala on the yacht that very evening.
She was charging wealthy socialites a fortune for tickets to a fake environmental charity.
I told my attorney I was going to infiltrate that party tonight.
He argued that my knee was still healing and it was too dangerous.
I reminded him that I was a trained combat veteran who had survived much worse than a luxury boat party.
I hired an elite makeup artist to completely disguise my face with cosmetics and a blonde wig.
I wore an elegant black evening gown that cleverly concealed my sleek, high-tech knee brace.
My security team forged a VIP ticket, allowing me to bypass the guards at the marina.
I walked up the gangway, ignoring the dull ache in my healing leg.
The yacht was filled with loud music, flashing lights, and superficial people.
I spotted Madison holding court near the bar, wearing a diamond necklace that probably cost more than my surgery.
I slipped away from the main crowd and picked the electronic lock on the master cabin door.
I found the wall safe hidden exactly where the investigators said it would be behind a painting.

I attached a silent digital cracking device to the keypad and waited for the green light.
Suddenly, the heavy cabin door clicked open behind me.
