Chapter 7 - The Arrest

The CFO stared in absolute shock at the wealthy heiress holding a heavy demolition tool.
Natalie did not hesitate for a single second as she stepped into the back of the damaged van.
She swung the massive sledgehammer with terrifying force, smashing it directly into the CFO's encrypted tablet.
The expensive device shattered into a thousand useless pieces of glass and plastic.
The armed mercenaries immediately raised their rifles to shoot her down.
Natalie casually dropped the heavy hammer and calmly pressed a small red button on a remote control in her hand.
The entire parking garage was instantly flooded with the deafening wail of police sirens.
Dozens of heavily armored SWAT officers repelled down from the upper levels of the structure.
They surrounded the unmarked van completely, aiming their weapons at the trapped mercenaries.
The CFO dropped his combat knife and raised his hands in panicked, immediate surrender.
The police officers dragged the mercenaries out of the van and forcefully slammed them onto the concrete floor.
Grant watched the entire scene unfold with tears of absolute relief streaming down his face.
He fell to his knees in front of Natalie and desperately kissed the expensive leather of her designer shoes.
He wept loudly, thanking her for saving his life and begging for a second chance at their marriage.
Natalie stared down at the pathetic, broken man she had once called her husband.
She coldly ordered the police captain to cut the plastic zip-ties off Grant's bruised wrists.
Grant stood up, rubbing his sore arms and smiling victoriously at the arrested CFO.
He arrogantly told the police to lock the traitorous executive in a dark cell forever.
The police captain nodded respectfully toward Natalie before turning his attention directly back to Grant.

He pulled a fresh pair of heavy steel handcuffs from his tactical belt and forcefully grabbed Grant's arms.
The captain loudly announced that Grant Holloway was officially under arrest for massive corporate fraud and attempted embezzlement.
